Quick Install

Say hello to the package manager. This is a simple tool that will make installing and updating your eblabs.com tools a breeze.

Drag and Drop Install

1. Download the installer here

   Download

2. Drag and Drop into Maya

   

3. Tada, done

   

Adding a new Tool

1. Download software

   Head over to your My Account page to access your downloads.

   My Account

2. Using the Package Manger, Add Package. Select your .eblabs package file.

   

3. Your new tools will appear up on your eblabs shelf

   

Offline Installation

1. In addition to the drag and drop installer mentioned above, you will also need to have the installer package ready

   Download Part 1: Drag and Drop Installer

   Download Part 2: Installer Package

2. Drag and Drop the installer, this is the same as the online method

   

3. This time you will see an offline warning message

   

4. Click on install and navigate to your installer file eblabs_PackageManager_latest.h.eblabs

   

5. Tada, done

   

Troubleshooting

How can I install this for Maya 2017 and earlier?

In earlier versions of Maya, drag and drop with python files wasn't supported. Here is the work around.

1. Copy and paste the contents of eblabs_drag_drop_install.py into the script editor.

2. Remove the comment symbol and the extra space like this:

   

3. Run the script in the script editor.

   

4. Tada, done

   

Does this work on my Mac?

Yes, if you run into any issues, please use the Offline Method mentioned above.
